absolution has been stabbing the christchurch human traffic since 1996.
established as a professional body-piercing studio, absolution built it’s reputation on a combination of hygienic approach, modern fit-out and personable staff.

extending it’s services to include tattooing in 2004, absolution moved in 2006, to a bigger and brighter premises in civic house on manchester street. vacating after the earthquake in 2011 saw us occupy a temporary [2 year] set-up in the suburbs, before getting in on the ground level at a new local development, the tannery. this lease ran 5 years while the city rejuvenated, and it’s with much pride that absolution now calls the christchurch arts centre home.
still encouraging industry change and refusing to settle quietly, absolution now occupies a space that provides a central location to push the good shit.
